Anthony Green: Underrated and Incredible

This guy's voice and intensity are amazing. His tone and range remind me of Perry Farrell. I've been listening to a lot of his stuff lately and think people should check out some of his tunes.

Check out Good Old War; also excellent.

I won't do the 'pick and choose' from various mixes; that takes away from the randomness and fun of a mix.
The catch? I want a mix of your own.

*This is strictly to turn people on to new music; it is in no way trying to rip off the artist*

Great EP's: Rocking In Less Time

The Movielife '...Has A Gambling Problem'
1) Walking On Glass
2) Hand Grenade
3) Up To Me
4) If Only Duct Tape Could Fix Everything
5) Operate
-It was definitely more poppy than the other stuff, and strange to hear Vinnie sing so melodic, but great songs regardless. I miss this band a lot.

Rage Against The Machine 'People Of The Sun' (Released as a 10" Vinyl)
1) People Of The Sun
2) Zapata's Blood (Live)
3) Without A Face (Live)
4) Bulls On Parade
5) Hadda Been Playing On The Jukebox (Live)
-The last track was an Allen Ginsburg poem spoken over typical Rage jammin.' I feel like despite how hard or soft this band can be, they are sincere enough to make their point.

Saves The Day 'I'm Sorry I'm Leaving'

1) I'm Sorry I'm Leaving
2) Hold
3) Jessie and My Whetstone
4) Take Our Cars Now!
5) I Melt With You (Modern English)
-The first four songs are all excellent originals. With the hard pumping energy of their first release, 'Can't Slow Down,' this showed the more stripped down approach to them. The last song, a cover, is crap, but the rest of the EP is a must have.

The Starting Line

'With Hopes Of Starting Over'
1) Leaving
2) Saddest Girl Story
3) Three's A Charm
4) Greg's Last Day
5) Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (Starship)

and

'Make Yourself At Home'
1) Make Yourself At Home
2) Selective
3) Playing Favorites
4) The Night Life
5) The Best Of Me (Acoustic)
6) Lasting Impression
-Both great EP's. The first was Drive Thru Records introduction to this great pop punk band. Fast paced melodic magic. The second was a page right out of Saves The Days' book; acoustic rock. I was lucky enough to see them perform it in it's entirety at Skate and Surf Fest in Asbury Park, circa 2003.

The Get Up Kids 'The EP's: Red Letter Day & Woodson'

1) One Year Later
2) Red Letter Day
3) Forgive and Forget
4) Mass Pike
5) Woodson
6) Second Place
-It's scary to see how The Get Up Kids started and where they are now. They were actually pretty hard in their beginning; compared to 'On A Wire,' they were actually one of the heavier bands in their genre. The perfect example of indie rock in the late 90's.

Albums:
Kanye West 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'
- I wish this album wasn't good, but it is. Nicki Minaj's rhyming on 'Monster' is awesome. "Pull up in the monster/Automobile gangster/With a bad bitch that came from Sri Lanka/Yeah I’m in that Tonka, colour of Willy Wonka/You could be the King but watch the Queen conquer."
Cee Lo Green 'The Ladykiller'
Daniel Johnston 'Retired Boxer'
Good Old War 'Only Way To Be Alone'
NOFX 'The Decline [EP]'
Sharks Keep Moving 'Self Titled'

With no sign of rescue in sight. The doctor's, they don't have a cure. For the rest of my life I'm caught on the inside, I guess this is what I deserve...
