Mix #17: "He's The Reason Cliff Notes Were Invented"

- Far is a great band and even though I like the singer's (Jonah Matranga) side stuff a little  better, it's still nice to see him rocking hard with some of the forefathers of indie rock. Jonah is one of the nicest guys I've ever met and his a hometown boy from Brookline, Massachusetts. Youtube him or check out his site and you will see exactly what I'm talking about. For instance: for $4,100, he will write and record an album with you. How fucking cool is that? Some people may see it as strange, but I see it as brilliant.
-Tom Johnston is the guitar player and singer for The Doobie Brothers. The funny thing about this song is that it's on the 'Dirty Dancing' soundtrack. It's not lame; it's a great, great song. Before you start pointing fingers, remember that nobody puts Mix Tape Revolution in a corner.
- Hit The Lights are picking up right where Blink-182 and Fenix TX left off and where Fall Out Boy sucked at. Excellent pop punk, killer hooks, and great lyrics. They also do some very cool covers ('Snowbirds and Townies,' by Further Seems Forever and 'How Will I Know,' by Whitney Houston; which, the latter, I've posted on Mix #2)
- I don't know why I like James Yuill song, but I do; it made me tap my foot when I told it not to.
- If the Atmosphere song doesn't creep you out, then you should seek help.
